Be my GUEST: Go on a Unique European Student Tour é um projeto dirigido a alunos com idades compreendidas entre os 16 e os 18 anos. O projeto enfatiza a vertente comercial do património cultural assim como o seu papel no combate ao preconceito e xenofobia. Alunos e professores envolvidos no projeto GUEST terão a oportunidade de descobrir os bens culturais dos países parceiros e pontos comuns na história da Europa, assim como descobrir as oportunidades de carreira que a preservação e a exploração do património nacional e europeu lhes poderão oferecer. Será feita uma pesquisa sobre a cultura e património nacional em termos de história, literatura, arquitetura, gastronomia, arte e tradições assim como de que forma estes influenciaram cada país parceiro e a Europa.

Project summary:
Be my GUEST: Go on a Unique European Student Tour is project addressed to students aged 16-18. The project’s focus is twofold: it will emphasize the commercial potential of cultural heritage, as well as its role in combating prejudice and xenophobia. Students and teachers participating in the GUEST project will be able to discover the partner countries’ cultural assets and common points in the history of Europe, and find out what great career opportunities they might get through preservation and exploitation of their national and European heritage. We will research about culture and national heritage in terms of history, literature, architecture, cuisine, arts, and traditions and how they have influenced the partner countries and Europe in general.
